Client Challenge: Delta Lloyd, a Dutch Insurance company, has been a client since 2008. The insurer is involved in developing the sport of sailing both professionally and recreationally. They wanted to create an Olympic involvement campaign for Dutch sailing.

We worked for two separate Delta Lloyd branches, Sponsorship and Business, and needed to define common objectives for both branches. Delta Lloyd had three different overall objectives: to increase media exposure, marketing of the relationship and to widen the appeal of sailing in the Netherlands.


PRISM Solution: Our focus was on three core competencies; Consultation, Ideas, Events. Consultation looked at sponsorship/ business opportunities, aiming to successfully seek and negotiate new sponsorship contracts for Delta Lloyd and their sailing program.

Ideas involved developing campaigns/ activations that would let us explore new ideas that had not been undertaken by the client in the past. Creativity was needed for this.

Finally was events, where the Trefpunt-PRISM team would deliver operational excellence across hospitality, branding, activations and campaigns.

Results: We constructed new Delta Lloyd sponsorships including Delta Lloyd Regatta, Netherlands Yachting Union and Hiswa. The team also came up with the concept behind Delta Lloyd Sounds. This was an authentic relationship marketing event, where the Delta Lloyd business department were able to socialise with business partners and people from the sailing community. This was done through a live music concert held during the Olympics and sponsored by Delta Lloyd. 2,500 people attended.

Trefpunt-PRISM also executed a series of events, including sailing regattas. Through effective branding, hospitality, exposure, activations and campaigns maximum exposure was gained. We also helped implement 'Delta Lloyd sailing', branded clothing for professional Dutch sailors.
