The Covid-19 pandemic cancelled many things, and the 2020 F1 season was no different.
With the stay-at-home message resonating throughout the country, Prism S+E utilised a unique opportunity and developed a digital activation for the VELO x McLaren partnership to engage with these ‘stay at home’ audiences, and fans who were eager to get their F1 fix during lockdown.
Recruited via the VELO and McLaren social channels for a bespoke challenge, 16 qualifying fans were pitted against McLaren F1 Teams driver, Carlos Sainz, and team CEO, Zak Brown, in a Virtual F1 race at Silverstone. Supported by a fully integrated social campaign across owned and earned channels, the challenge was streamed live on McLaren Racing’s YouTube channel.
Brief
For more than 30 years, Heineken House became the place for Dutch athletes, fans, dignitaries, and celebrities to gather at the summer and winter games of the Olympics.
Approach
Prism’s creativity and sporting knowledge came to the fore at events around the world, from logistics, planning, and permits to hospitality, staging, entertainment, and perfect pouring. This massive sport and entertainment execution became centre stage for Holland to celebrate its medals, making a brand synonymous with the nation’s spirit as only Heineken could.
